Day 01 :

Route : Airport > Negombo
Drive Time : 30 minutes 
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Negombo Beach and Dutch Canals

Your chauffeur guide and our representative will meet you at the airport and drive you to the recent beach town of Negombo. Check into the hotel, then relax and rest to get over any jet lag.

If you have extra time, your driver may show you around some of Negombo’s unique attractions, like the Dutch churches. You can even take a boat ride through the Dutch canals or simply relax on the golden dunes.

Day 02 :

Route : Negombo > Anuradhapura
Drive Time : 3 hours 30 minutes  
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Negombo Fish Market and Heritage Sites in Anuradhapura 

Visit Negombo’s Lellama Walk on the beach early in the morning for a unique experience. Watch fisherman unwind their nets and observe the fish being auctioned off and sold to both retail and commercial clients.

Set out from Negombo on the seaside to discover Sri Lanka’s inland attractions.

We advise you to take a break in Anuradhapura, a historic city that shaped Sri Lanka’s history for more than a thousand years. Your chauffeur guide will take you on a walking tour of this holy city that includes stops to the Sacred Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanweli Seya, and Mihintale.

Day 03 :

Route : Anuradhapura > Sigiriya > Polonnaruwa
Drive Time : 2 hours 40 minutes

Start the day by climbing Sigiriya, a stunning rock castle that was built in the fifth century and known as the “Fortress in the Sky.” Admire the engineering feat of a king’s fortress that was hewn out of a huge rock in the fifth century A.D.

Learn about the better-preserved historic Ceylon ruins in the late afternoon at the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa, which served as Sri Lanka’s medieval capital from the 11th to the 13th century A.D. Visit Lankathilaka, Thuparamaya, the Royal Palace, Rankoth Vehera, and Gal Viharaya as part of a walking tour of one of the historic Ceylonese ruins. Be sure to see the distinctive moonstone formations as well as the vata-da-ge design used by Sinhalese architects. Retire to your calm hideaway located on the shore after an exhilarating day.

Day 04 :

Route : Polonnaruwa > Kandy
Drive Time : 3 hours 10 minutes 
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Kandy Temple of The Tooth Relic

Travel on to Kandy, the capital of the hills. The term Kandy conjures up romantic ideas in people of a forgotten hill kingdom, a lake, tea plantations, and a famous temple. It is notable as the center of Buddhism and the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. Discover the city at your leisure and pay homage to the golden-roofed Temple of the Tooth Relic, which contains Sri Lanka’s most revered relic: a tooth belonging to Lord Buddha.Visit the bustling markets and the Upper Lake drive, admire the gentle hill country breezes that cause the mist to softly part to reveal colorful dwellings amid Kandy’s forested halo.

Day 05 :

Route : Kandy > Bandarawela > Ella
Drive Time : 4 hours 21 minutes  
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Bandarawela, Nine Arches Bridge and Ravana Falls

Take a picturesque journey to the Bandarawela hills today and enjoy the unending views of tea-covered slopes and the flash of women picking tea in pimento, fuchsia, and cerise saris. Visit the Geoffrey Bawa and Ulrik Plesner-designed Bandarawela Chapel of the Good Shepherd’s Convent, which is made of granite.

Continue your journey to the picturesque town of Ella, a little settlement perched in a valley that directly looks through the Ella Gap and surrounded by rocky terrain ideal for treks. Be sure to take a moment to see the stunning Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and the cascading Ravana Ella waterfalls.

Day 06 :

Route : Ella > Galle
Drive Time : 3 hours 10 minutes   
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Galle Dutch Fort

Continue your way to Galle, a historic city. With its historical sites and distinctive combination of European and Arabic cultural and architectural elements, Galle, the nation’s oldest living city, is likely to pique your curiosity. Explore the Galle Fort with its low-lying alleys and the history behind its Rampart once you’ve arrived in the town of Galle. Wander through the shops and eateries-lined lanes. The Fort is one of the few Worlds Heritage-listed places where a thriving population still exists, and it continues to be a hub of activity.

Day 07 :

Route : Galle > Colombo
Drive Time : 2 hours 
Highlights : Enjoy a Visit to Colombo City

Once you arrive in Colombo, your chauffeur guide will show you around some of the city’s unique attractions, including the bustling Pettah markets, the Fort’s historic district, the Hindu Temple on Sea Street, and the Dutch Church in Wolfendale. You can also choose to go shopping instead.

Day 08 :

Route : Colombo > Airport
Drive Time : 30 minutes  
Highlights : Farewell
